Your Lagotto Adventure
The Lagotto is an extraordinary, happy dog breed from the Romagna region of Italy. The name translates, "Lake Dog from Romagna." Lagotto heritage goes back to the 16th century and introduced in America in the 1980s.
The Lagotto Romagnolo, also known as the "Italian fungi truffle dog". The Lagotto has a curly double coat that is water resistant hair and is non-shedding. What Lagotto's Need
Daily Exercise
60-90 minutes daily active exercise - They do need both mental stimulation and physical activity. A good rule of thumb is a ratio of 5 minutes exercise per month of age (up to twice a day) until the puppy is fully grown, i.e. 15 minutes, up to twice a day, when three months old. Once they are fully grown, they can exercise for much longer.
Grooming
The coat needs to be trimmed on a regular basis.
Socialization
The Lagotto needs to spend time with his family in order to be well adjusted and content. They need companionship.
